ZigBuzz

Open Source ZigBee Stack for Linux

The ZigBuzz project is an open source effort to create a ZigBee™ stack for Linux.

ZigBee is a wireless protocol designed by the ZigBee Alliance. Built on the IEEE 802.15.4 definition of the PHY and MAC layers, it provides a moderate data rate, low power network for battery devices. ZigBee is aimed at home automation, industrial control and sensor networks, and is designed with a main focus on interoperability.

ZigBee might become one of the important protocols for the embedded world and the ZigBuzz team is dedicated to delivering ZigBee capabilities to Linux devices.
